부산 광안리 해수욕장 일원에서 한 해를 보내고 새로운 한 해를 맞으며 보내는 행사로 병오년(丙午年) 말의 해를 맞아 다양한 프로그램과 함께 축하공연과 카운트다운이 진행된다. 수영구 대표 행사로 자리매김하여 부산 대표축제로 성장하였으며 대규모 드론쇼 공연과 함께 시민들의 관심과 참여로 새로운 미래를 향한 도약과 응원의 메시지를 전하는 모두의 축제이다.
